2010 Season
BIG NEWS! - News12 Long Island has signed on as Glenn's primary sponsor for the 2010 season. We attended Riverhead Raceway's second practice on April 24, 2010 to break in our motor. Our first race was on Riverhead's opening night, Saturday, May 1. Unfortunately, the motor was not at peak performance, and we chose to start at the rear to prevent an issue with the quicker cars. We would like to thank all of our fellow Legends racers who helped out trying to diagnose the motor issue! Riverhead Raceway added an extra Legends race to the schedule for May 15. Surprise ! Our motor was pulled, repaired, and re-installed in short order, just in time to go racing. We had a top ten finish (9th). Much better than the previous race! The May 29 race was a very poor example of sportsmanship and was ended after 4 laps on time limit after many cautions. We were put into the wall and wrecked for no apparent reason on the third restart with 0 laps on the books. A special thanks to Paul Dodorico and Chris Young for all their help with repairs! Our next race was June 5. It took a lot of effort, but we got the car rebuilt in time for the race. It was a much better race. We had a thirteenth place finish. In the June 19th race, we were in second place for the first 11 laps. After a double file restart, we finished the 20- lapper in 7th place. The race on July 10 was rained out, and not rescheduled as of yet. On July 24, after being off for over a month, we took a 9th place finish. The August 14 race was called on time limit before completion; lots of crashes. However, we finished the race in one piece and were able to make our appearance for News 12 LI at the huge car show at Eisenhower Park on 8/15 !
